The annual Internal Case Competition by Chulalongkorn Case Club and BBA International Program was held during October 9th to 11th 2015. It took place at the Mandarin Hotel, Samyan where participants stayed over for two nights.

There were 18 teams with 4 team members each participating in the event. They were given 24 hours to think of an impactful, imaginative, and attainable answer to a real business case and after that made to present their proposals to a board of esteemed judges from numerous acclaimed organizations along with experienced Case Club alumni. However, after a lot of hard work and determination, only four teams made it to the final round. The finalists were judged again with their last presentation by the judges to determine who the winner was.

Case Club would like to extend its thanks to a number of parties, first of which is our sponsor. Internal Case Competition could not have happened without the generous support of our sponsor. For the very first time, this year we were honored to be sponsored by Lazada, Asia’s leading e-commerce company. Cash coupons were awarded to the finalists as well as a one week’s e-commerce training at Lazada for the winning team.

Thanks also to the BBA International program Chulalongkorn University for making this happen, Dr. Buraj Patrakosol for advising the organizing committee from the very beginning, the working professionals and Case Club alumni who took their time off on a Sunday to be part of the judging panel for this event, all participants for eagerly joining this event, and lastly all the staff members, all of whom worked very hard and were irreplaceable.

Knowledge, society, and passion are the three things that high school students across the nation will get from BBA CHULA CAMP 4 organized by BBA students during 16 – 18 October 2015. This camp aims towards providing the necessary equipment for the 120 soon to be high school graduates to excel on their entrance examinations and the on hand experience of how University students spend their time in the campus. The opportunity for us, BBA students, to show our culture and give the needed insights to the high school students are the things that could not otherwise be found anywhere else. Besides the academic side of the camp, fun and enjoyment are also the indispensable element. Three days felt like 3 hours, and this camp could not have been successful without all of the efforts from all of the teams that have participated in this camp, as well as, the smiles of high school students themselves. Smiles, laughter, and tears are the moments that we all shared in this camp, with this it is safe to say that memories have been engraved, and bonds were established here at BBA CHULA CAMP 4. Hopefully, we will be able to see them all again at this university as our freshmen being able to begin their new journey. Until then, we will meet again in BBA CHULA CAMP 5.

Associate Director Buraj Patrakosol and the BBA team joined the EAIE GLASGOW 2015, 27th Conference of the European Association for International Education between 15th - 18th September, 2015. Nearly 5000 international higher education professionals from 90 countries travelled to Glasgow, making it the center of international education for the week. It was an excellent opportunity for Associate Director and the BBA team to meet and establish new relationships with many well-known international universities as well as a time to strengthen the relationships with existing exchange partners.

It was a great opportunity for us to attend a very interesting and useful Exchange Fair 2015 on 14 October 2015 at 13th floor Mahit Building. All events were nicely and warmly conducted. The presentation about our partner universities was held by BBA senior students who had came back from exchange semester as well as current exchange students. They clearly presented about the universities, such as environment, rules and regulations, study courses, accommodations, transportations and also their experiences at the universities. Moreover, there were more than 20 booths with both Thai and foreign representatives who are willing to give inside information about their universities. There also were brochures and booklets provided from the universities that did not have the representatives. According to my opinion, I think it was really useful for students who are planning to attend to the exchange program. It provided us an opportunity to meet both seniors and exchange students to ask for things we wanted to know. I truly believe that those information would be helpful for us to choose the university to attend and to prepare for the exchange program.

The Exchange Fair on October 14, 2015 was very interesting and informative. It opened an opportunity for us to be able to have useful conversation with many exchange students. Not only that but also the presentations from seniors were also helpful; they answered all of my questions regarding the Exchange Program. Even though this was the first time that BBA International Program held this event, the fair ran smoothly and professionally. Overall, I wish that BBA International Program Office will continue to hold this interesting event in the future.
