Ajarn Alan Kam took students of "Current Issue in Finance" class to visit the factory facilities of Cal-Comp Electronics (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd. (CCT) on Wednesday October 17th in Petchburi province. CCET is listed both on the Thailand and Taiwan Stock Exchange. It is an EMS producer of various electronic equipments with factory presence in Thailand, USA, Mexico, Singapore, China, Brazil, Malaysia and Taiwan and it is part of the family group of companies of the Kinpo Group with annual global revenues in excess of US$ 26 billion. Students toured the facilities as well as learning about the various creative financing methods of the company.

On Friday, November 2nd, Ajarn Yayus Mak’s students in Marketing Strategy 2012 had the opportunity to listen to a special guest lecture by Mr. Louis-Sebastien Ohl, CEO of Publicis Thailand. 
 
Titled “Lead the Change”, Mr. Ohl’s presentation exposed the students to a new way of thinking in marketing communications and aimed to raise the bar in client engagements leading to more compelling and innovative campaigns.
 
Accompanied by Khun Varisra Joemjutithom, Account Management Director, Mr. Ohl also shed light on the use of celebrity endorsements in Thai advertising and provided insights on how to execute more creative and differentiated celebrity campaigns.

On Friday, April 26th, Ajarn Yayus Mak’s students in Current Issues in Marketing 2013 had the pleasure of attending a special guest lecture by Khun Thammasak Jittimaporn, CEO of Green Spot Co., Ltd.
 
Khun Thammasak led the students through Green Spot’s rich corporate history and the brand evolution of Vitamilk over the past 50 years. Using examples from the Company’s current advertising campaigns, the lecture taught the students the importance of a brand blueprint that captures the values of the organization, differentiating characteristics of its product, and the unique message communicated to its target customers.
 
Khun Thammasak also shared how Green Spot has successfully expanded the Vitamilk brand throughout South-East Asia and Africa. Students learned how the Company used a balance of market analysis and understanding of consumer behavior to localize Vitamilk’s promotion and distribution strategies while maintaining consistency to its corporate values and brand blueprint.
 
Founded in 1954, Green Spot’s main mission has been to produce and distribute quality beverages to consumers. Vitamilk was Thailand’s first bottled soymilk and has remained the best-selling soymilk in Thailand ever since.

Current Issue in Finance – Ajarn Alan Kam has Ms. Janice Van Ekeren, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri) as a guest speaker in his class on September 11th, 2013.
 
Ms. Van Ekeren gave an interesting talk on the transformation of BAY under the management of GE Capital, thGuest Speaker : CEO-Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri)e challenges and the success and the impending shareholding change of the bank. She also talked about the various career opportunities for graduating students at the bank.
