Internal Case Competition 2020 marks the first-ever online version of Internal Case Competition. The competition was held on 18-20 September. It is an annual event organized by Chulalongkorn Case Club members, with the goal to provide the opportunity for second year BBA students to gain real experiences in solving a business case.

The competition started with the preliminary round, where the participating 16 teams were separated into 4 divisions. On Saturday morning, the teams were given 24 hours to develop strategies for Teach For Thailand to successfully achieve financial sustainability in the long run.

On Sunday morning, the teams proposed their solutions to our panel of judges consisting of our experienced alumni. The winning team from each division then proceeded to compete in the final round, where they presented the same case and received professional feedback from both professors and judges from various companies such as PrimeStreet Consulting and Brillantive. After intense deliberation between the judges, Superrich Consulting won the competition.

Altogether, this event presents a great learning opportunity for the students to step out of their comfort zones, experience what it is like to be in a case competition, and apply when they have learned in classes to the real business world. In addition, students also gained the opportunity to improve their presentation, teamwork, and time management skills while having fun.

Winner: Superrich Consulting
Team Members:
  • Chayut Ratanatikanon
  • Vithavit Tantivachyanon
  • Kittitat Prutthiworamongkon

Due to COVID-19, classes and activities in the BBA Program are encouraged to move to virtual platforms. This takes away the chance for freshmen to be able to experience the normal BBA life and other students the ability to attend their usual university routines. We, BBA Council, saw this opportunity and decided to host a virtual activity which will help students from all years be able to meet, compete, and have fun. So, on September 9th, the BBA Council team organized the first ever “BBA Let’s Get (A)way” virtual event at BlackBox Theatre, in which over 100 BBA students participated. The activity consisted of tournament games such as ‘Crack the Code’, ‘Guess the Number’, ‘Spot the Difference’, and ‘ObjecTrip’, with the objective to bring the BBA student community closer by team building games and to raise morale in this challenging time.

The welcome dinner for spring 2020 exchange students was hosted at Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumphini Park Hotel. We had the chance to see an exclusive Thai traditional dance performance from Chula’s Lanna club. After enjoying a delicious buffet, we were all stunned by the amazing performances and games organized by our exchange students.

On orientation day, exchange students got to know more about Chula students’ university life. Our dean, professors, faculty staff and INTDEPT staff warmly welcomed the exchangers.
