Ever since CIBCC’s formation in 2014 with only nine participating teams, this year marks the 6th edition of CIBCC and is the largest edition to date, featuring 20 teams from 11 countries.
The teams include Concordia University, Copenhagen Business School, Queen's University, HEC Montréal, American University of Beirut, National University of Singapore, University of Washington, University of Auckland, University of Münster, University of Alberta, UCSI University, Thammasat University, Mahidol University International College, University of New South Wales, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, University of Toronto, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, and Chulalongkorn University.
This year, the event is hosted in one of the most prominent islands in Thailand, Koh Samui on May 20-26, 2019. The events included a very special Island Tour day, in which the participants get to spend their time exploring two islands by kayaking, hiking, and also snorkeling! On other days, teams were also able to play traditional Thai games prepared by the buddies and strolled around Bophut Walking Street.
On behalf of the staff and buddies, I felt a need to thank the two amazing co-chairs, all my fellow staff and buddies, Case Club’s advisors and BBA program who made the event possible. It would not have been this successful and positive if everyone had not cooperated. The event has bonded us, and also gave us a great chance to connect with young business students all around the world.
CIBCC has yet again taken a step further into perfection. And we are all awaiting the next CIBCC!
The competition results are as follows:
- Champions: University of New South Wales
- First Runner-up: Queen’s University
- Second Runner-up: University of Auckland
- Third Runner-up: Mahidol University
