Our BBA Study Trip 2024 took a prestigious turn as we stepped into the esteemed offices of Deloitte Tohmatsu Group in Tokyo, extending a warm welcome to our students majoring in Accounting and Financial Analysis and Investment. As one of the nation's foremost professional services firms, Deloitte Japan leads the way in audit and assurance, risk advisory, financial advisory, consulting, tax, and legal services.
During an engaging presentation led by partners and professionals, our students gained insights into Deloitte's comprehensive suite of services and its pivotal role in shaping the business landscape. From the integration of AI in auditing to the growing importance of ESG considerations in business strategy, the presentation highlighted key industry trends and challenges.
A lively Q&A session provided our students with the opportunity to engage directly with Deloitte's experts, discussing pressing issues and exploring career opportunities in accounting and audit.
Following the presentation, an insightful office tour unveiled the innovative features and collaborative spaces that enhance the working environment for Deloitte staff and offer public access in select areas.

Our Financial Analysis and Investment students had an incredible opportunity to gain insights from industry experts at CFA Society Japan. From the historical trajectory of Japan's financial development to navigating major crises and recoveries, our students were immersed in a wealth of knowledge.
During the session, discussions delved into the investor's perspective on the Japanese equity market, shedding light on economic shifts, labor dynamics, and governance improvements driven by government policies. Additionally, an expert from the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) shared valuable insights on market changes and TSE initiatives aimed at enhancing governance and capital efficiency.
Our students left inspired by the array of career opportunities in finance, with practical advice on kickstarting their career paths and broadening their perspectives. From understanding diverse career trajectories to identifying suitable placements based on personality traits, the session opened doors to a world of possibilities in finance.

Our Brand and Marketing Management students stepped into the headquarters of Dentsu Inc., Japan's premier advertising and media agency. Led by Mr. Hazime Yamamoto, General Manager of the Global Business Center, our students were treated to a captivating presentation detailing Dentsu's remarkable evolution from a domestic powerhouse to a global leader.
Mr. Yamamoto shed light on Dentsu's unwavering core values and innovative business models that extend far beyond traditional advertising. From Business Transformation to Customer Experience Transformation and Digital Transformation, our students gained invaluable insights into the diverse avenues through which Dentsu drives success.
Inspiring case studies further illuminated Dentsu's creativities and capabilities, including the iconic development of AKB48, a phenomenon that transcended borders, as well as innovative event marketing leveraging the power of Japanese manga to enhance engagement, and utilizing technology to empower individuals with disabilities to pursue their passion for music.
Our students left Dentsu's office inspired and enlightened, ready to apply newfound insights to their future endeavors in brand and marketing management.

Step into the heart of Japan's bustling logistics industry as we explore Yamato Transport's flagship distribution center, Chronogate. As the second-largest logistics services provider in Japan, Yamato plays a pivotal role in seamlessly connecting parcels from land and air transport to destinations across the country.
Our students in International Business Management major were treated to a firsthand look at the cutting-edge digital technologies and automation driving efficiency in the sorting process, minimizing errors along the way.
Exploring beyond traditional logistics, our students also discovered specialized services such as delicate medical equipment cleaning and international customs clearance, showcasing Yamato Transport's diverse capabilities.

We start our BBA Study Trip 2024 by visiting an institution in Tohoku University called International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS). Established post-2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami, IRIDeS pioneers cutting-edge research in natural hazards, disaster management, and risk reduction, and contributing to sustainable and resilient societies both in Japan and overseas.
