"Ever since the start of the journey in September when each of us went through a selection process to take part in the CFA Research Challenge, not only did we want to take the opportunity to learn and improve, but we also wanted to win for our university."

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis.

This year, the CFA Research Challenge in Thailand accommodated 10 teams from 10 different universities across the country taking the role of equity analysts in analyzing Central Pattana PCL. (CPN), leading property developer in Thailand. From the written report submission, selected 4 teams then advanced to the panel presentation, competing to represent CFA Society of Thailand in the regional and global round in Chicago, the United States.

Throughout the 5-month journey that the 4 of us walked together down the road, we weren't walking alone. We received valuable lessons and advice from various parties, and would therefore like to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude towards Ajarn Dr.Roongkiat Ratanabanchuen, the team advisor, who had sacrificed his time to train us and who always had faith in us even in times of doubt. We would also like to thank Bachelor of Business Administration, Chulalongkorn University for the continuous support throughout our journey. No words could describe all the feelings that flushed in, but it is clear to say that all the efforts we had put in really paid off when we were announced winner this year's local competition.

With more than 40 teams from top universities all over Thailand, two of BBA Chula’s marketing team was able to advance to the final round of Philip’s marketing case competition held on January 30, 2016. The two teams consisted of Monkey Consulting and Ultimatum. Throughout the journey of preparing for the competition, all of us developed a stronger sense of customer insight about the men’s shaving industry, greater bonding and teamwork among ourselves, and most importantly pride to represent BBA Chula in another prestigious marketing competition. The presentation of both teams received outstanding and positive comments from industry judges. In the end, Monkey Consulting was able to win the first place and Ultimatum the second runner-up. The teams comprised of the following members:
