For the first year ever competing in Central European Case Competition, Team Kürtgyarmat was a finalist for the MVM Group case. The competition has 24 leading universities from all around the world, such as University of St. Gallen, University of Southern California, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
The competition was separated into two rounds: the short case (Yuspify) and the long case (MVM Group) which both have six divisions and four competing teams in each. In the MVM Group case, Team Kürtgyarmat has presented their recommendations to the company and industry judges, and ranked first in its division against Indiana University, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, and Ivey Business School.
As a representative team of Chulalongkorn University, Team Kürtgyarmat would like to expressed their gratitude towards the university, BBA International program, advisors, and Case Club Chulalongkorn for their relentless support for them.
“It is my greatest honor to represent the university and to be surrounded by supportive advisors and teammates. The case competition was definitely challenging, but with the help of Ajarn Nongnapat and Ajarn Buraj, we have learned and improved a lot. I truly appreciate the support of the BBA staff and Case Club Chulalongkorn throughout the competition. I would like to thank my teammates as well for putting their fullest effort, since this is their first international competition. Once again, I am grateful that our team has received this great opportunity from BBA; this has been the a great memory for the last case competition for my university life.” – Arisara Pornratanaraksa (Pop), Finance, 4th year.
"Being a Chulalongkorn university representative to compete in an international competition has been an honor for me. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this team and join CECC. Our team has put great effort into preparing for the competition, and we have learned a lot along the way. Instead of blaming each other, we learned from our past mistakes and improved on them. I could not explain how fortunate I am to be in such a goal-driven and supportive environment. I would also like to thank all the professors and club members for taking their time to help us. Without their support, we would never be able to achieve this. The two-month journey of training and competition itself has been a big learning curve for me, and I have enjoyed all time spent together as a team. This competition has been and will surely be the most memorable experience in my university life."- Apichaya Thubkhong (Min), Finance, 2nd year
"By far, this was the hardest case competition I have ever participated in. The MVM case required us to come up with various challenging strategies. It was a great learning experience, and it was a great opportunity for us to showcase our talents and apply the knowledge we learnt in classroom in a real competitive environment. Everyone did their best, and I really appreciate everyone's effort in this case competition. Finally, I want to thank all professors and staff from the Chulalongkorn Business School who supported us during the competition." - Chayut Ratanatikanon (Phu), Finance, 2nd year.
“I am extremely grateful to be selected to represent Chulalongkorn University in the CECC Case Competition 2021. It is a very challenging competition, but with our continuous efforts we were able to exceed our expectation. I would like to thank all of my supportive teammates, whose ambitions and passion place our team where we are now; my advisors who have never failed to provide us with insightful guidance. And, last but not least, BBA Case Club who have brought our team together. Once again, thank you all.” Phisitpong Thipasathien, Finance, 2nd year.
