BBA Chula students win Moral Hackathon 2025

Sep 23 2025

Our student team brought home the championship trophy from the Moral Hackathon 2025, organized by the Moral Center.

The competition is nationwide, and 30 teams were selected to the preliminary round, before narrowing down to the finalists. The Final Pitching and Award Ceremony was held at Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Ayutthaya, with the Ministry of Culture and the Ayutthaya Provincial Office also involved in supporting and evaluating the projects.

The competition challenged students to transform local wisdom into innovation that strengthens communities. Our team collaborated with the Tha Ruea community (ชุมชนท่าเรือ) in Ayutthaya Province and developed a creative way to compress leftover rice straws into cooling sheets, turning what was once discarded into valuable souvenirs and gifts that reflect the community’s heritage and identity.

Over the course of three months, the team engaged with the community, tested their innovation, and refined their business plan. The result was a model that empowers the community to create for themselves, with potential to expand across the province.
