Students studying in universities around the world (No Students Exchange Agreement or cannot join the exchange program for some reason) who would like to spend one or more semesters at Chula can apply to the Study Abroad Program. As per our Study Abroad Program regulations, you are required to pay tuition fees to Chulalongkorn University during the period of study. Please consult your home university for approval.

Eligibility:

To be considered for admission, it is a must that you meet the following requirements. Please  scan the documents for consideration in advance.

  1. Be an undergraduate student with a grade point average (GPAX) of no less than 2.75 (in the 4-point scale US system) or equivalent.
  2. For non-native English speakers or English is not a medium of instruction, one of the following English Proficiency Tests is required:
    • TOEFL score of no less than 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based)
    • IELTS score of no less than 6.5
    • Proof of the English Language Proficiency.
  3. University ranking is in the top 100 of the country for American university and top 10 for other universities.
  4. University or business school has been accredited by AACSB or EFMD.
  5. Information of your school accreditation or ranking in the nation or in the world (QS, Time Higher Education (THE), Financial Times (FT) or US News or anything.

Conditions:

  1. The period of study at Chula of no longer than one academic year.
  2. Enrollment for no less than 9 credits in a semester (Fall Semester and Spring Semester), and no less than 3 credits in Summer Semester.
  3. Non-degree awarded (a transcript is available).
  4. Payment of tuition fees in accordance with Chulalongkorn's rules and regulations.

After your documents have been proved and you are qualified, we will send an application link to you by email by the end of March (Fall), August (Spring) and January (Summer).

  Application Process:

You are required to complete an online application and upload all required documents by the deadlines.
  April 1 - 30 for Fall, September 1 - 30 for Spring and February 1-25 for Summer.
1.  Polite Color photo  (A photo must be clear, straight face, not showing teeth, white shirt (not T-shirt) and plain background).
2.  ID page of the student’s passport.
3.  Recent academic transcript (with English translation if applicable) You should have grade point average of at least 2.75 in the  4 - point scale US system or equivalent.
4.  Proof of the English language proficiency (required only a non-English native speaker or English is not a medium of instruction): TOEFL 79ibt, IELTS 6.5 or  any proof from your institution.
5.  Letter from home school certifying that you have been approved to join a semester with the BBA Program - Chulalongkorn Business School. 
6.  Appropriate insurance coverage while living in Thailand. (Health & Accident)

Please note that

  ​​Only complete applications with all required supporting documents uploaded can be processed.
  ​​Admission will be processed a letter of acceptance for visa application will be sent out to you electronically rather than in hard copy.
  within March 30 for incoming Summer Semester 
  within May 30 for incoming Fall Semester
  within October 30 for incoming Spring Semester
  ​​Students will be in contact with the exchange coordinator of Chulalongkorn Business School by the above dates for up-to-date information such as course list, accommodation, arrival form, buddy program, online registration and important schedules. 

  Tentative Course List and Course Syllabus

      Please note that this is a tentative course list and the links for course syllabus in the previous semesters are included. You can just refer to this information for an idea and study plan or when you complete the BBA online application.  It is also important that you contact your school in advance for course approval. However, the most updated course list and timetable for the semester that you are going to join will be different from the tentative course list, and it is expected to be available around 1 month prior to the start of the semester. So, you are strongly suggested to have contingency to adjust your plan.

      This is just a tentative schedule only for an idea and guideline throughout the semester. However, you should have received the final version of this schedule 1 month before the start of the semester. So, please keep checking your email for the updated version.

Apart from exchange program, students who would like to spend one or more semesters abroad with exchange or non-exchange partners can also apply to Study Abroad or Free Mover Program.
 
As per our Study Abroad Program regulations, you are required to pay tuition fees to both Chulalongkorn University and overseas university if you need to transfer credits back. And the requirements will be as follows: 
  1. Be a third or fourth year student with a grade point average (GPAX) of no less than 2.75.  
  2. Provide either one of English proficiency tests: TOEFL of 79 ibt, IELTS of 6.5. 
  3. The overseas university must be accredited by the Office of the Civil Service Commision.
  4. Provide the acceptance letter or any evidence that you are working on the application process. 
  5. Provide the letter of approval from the parents with a signature. 
  6. The period of study at overseas universities must be no longer than one academic year (Fall, Spring and Summer) and the maximum number of credits can be transferred to Chulalongkorn University is 35 or 12 courses. 
  7. Students need to earn a grade of "C" or any equivalent in order to get credits transferred and no calculation for grade point average. 
  8. To be able to get credits transferred, courses registered at overseas universities must be approved. Students should contact BBA Office in advance for course mapping process.
Study Abroad (Summer Program) 
Study Abroad Program for summer is also availableThere are 2 types of Summer Program: 
  1. Summer Free Mover: You have to pay tuition fee to both overseas and Chulalongkorn University.
  2. Summer Exchange:  You have to pay tuition fee to Chulalongkorn University only (You need to check the updated information again because there are not all university offered as Summer Exchange)
And the requirements will be as follows:   
  1. Be a second and third year student with a grade point average (GPAX) of no less than 2.75.  
  2. Provide either one of English proficiency tests: TOEFL of 79 ibt, IELTS of 6.5. 
  3. The overseas university must be accredited by the Office of the Civil Service Commision. 
  4. Provide the acceptance letter or any evidence that you are working on the application process. 
  5. Provide the letter of approval from the parents with a signature. 
  6. The maximum number of credits can be transferred to Chulalongkorn University is 7 or 2 courses per one summer semester
  7. Students need to earn a grade of "C" or any equivalent in order to get credits transferred and no calculation for grade point average.

Remarks

  1. You also need to check the requirement of overseas universities.
  2. Please contact the BBA Office for more information or if you have any questions.
  3. Students who apply for a summer program and do not want to transfer credits back to Chulongkorn University are not required to contact BBA Office.
  4. The final decision depends on the Faculty board of committee.

Take 6 credits from any courses taught in English and listed as courses for undergraduate degree courses of Chulalongkorn University or courses which the credits transferred from partner universities from abroad with the approval from the BBA program committee and the administration board of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University.
