On November 17, 2017, the BBA Program has organized the “Major Selection” session and has invited 3 instructors of International Business, Financial Analysis and Investment and Accounting fields to share their experience and knowledge with the first year students. This session really help support my decision on major selection. The activity provide me “how your life going to be, what you have to learn, and what it will be selected after graduated in each field”.

During the talk, instructors told what student should have learnt, studied for in each field of study in each year and what benefits student should have if they chose to study each course.  After graduated, what company you can work with, what firm that BBA has connection with, and what will be the beginning salary that student could have by working in company in each field.

In conclusion, this session would be a little better by having two or more instructors sharing their experiences and knowledge. Overall, because of this activities, finally, I can choose whether study Accounting or Finance.

In the Major Selection Session, I was informed about the details of the three BBA’s major – International Business, Financial Analysis and Investment and Accounting fields – by the instructors of each major. At first, I was uncertain on which major I would select since I haven’t decide my career part yet; however, this session gave me an insight of each major, and how each major affect career choices. For me personally, I have been highly interested in financial management works since I was in high school therefore, the major that allows me to pursue this career part would Financial Analysis. Not only this session assist my decision on the major selection, it also help me focus on the things I need to learn for my dream job. The instructor precisely advise the students what the job requirements are, and when and which subject teach about them. Overall, I was very pleased about the session. I think could be very influential for students whose career choice is still unclear.
